Her savings speak louder than words. ![]()
Meet Yongmin, 73, a client of our Trashigang Branch and a proud member of the Bayphu Center, which gathers on the 12th of every month.
Yongmin is nonverbal but she has never needed words to show her determination. Month after month, she walks into her center meeting, takes her place among fellow members, and saves. Consistently. Purposefully. Without fail.
She understands something profound in its simplicity: that small, regular savings today build security for tomorrow for future needs, for unexpected expenses, for a life lived with dignity and independence.
At 73, Yongmin is not just saving money. She is claiming her financial independence, on her own terms.
Her quiet perseverance has become an inspiration to every member of her center a powerful reminder that age is no barrier, disability is no barrier, and that wise financial decisions belong to anyone with the will to make them.
At RENEW Microfinance, this is why we exist: to ensure that every woman, in every corner of Bhutan, has the opportunity to build a more secure future no matter her circumstances.
Yongmin, you inspire us all.
